Okay, I have to do a debate thingy for my Biotechnology subject. (It's in groups, btw~).
Anyhoo, I'm thinking of doing this topic:
"A biotechnology company's sole concern is to maximise its profit by satisfying the market."
So, what points could I make?
What could I say about this topic?
Should I go for or against?
Thanks.

Collingwood won today!! Yay!!
Oh and re your post: I think you should go against. You could make points about yes, they have to earn a profit by satisfying the market, but they also have to be responsible to the environment, animals, people, society... like they can' dump toxic waste, or deliberately damage people's health...
well, you could make the point that it is every company's main/first goal to maximise their profit, and in order to do that, they must satisfy the demands of their target market.
I think you should go for the topic, definitely!
Then, maybe you could talk about how the biotechnology compnay could go about this- what they can/should do to satisfy their target market in order to accomplish their main goal: that is, maximising their profits.
Good luck, Laura- hope I helped! :D
Thank you, to both of you, for your help. :D.
And yay, Collingwood won! Teehee, Collingwood = awesome.
