HUNGER GAMES.

I read the Hunger Games trilogy awhile ago, and I never really thought much about this: Why didn't Gale go back to District 12 after the rebellion was over?

District 12 is his home.
Yes, it got bombed during the war, but they didn't bomb the Victor's Village, where there are several lovely modern houses built for the victors of the Hunger Games.

The Capitol were overthrown, I don't think anyone would've minded if people had come back to District 12 to live in those houses.

It's funny, that it's just Katniss, Haymitch and Peeta living there. What about the other houses? What about the 900-something District 12 people who were saved from the bombing?
I know Katniss wasn't too thrilled about Gale's bombs killing her sister, but come on! Gale is a nice guy, he didn't intentionally kill Prim.

Gale and his family could've lived happily in one of the lovely houses, neighbours with Katniss. Maybe Gale could marry some lovely girl (Johanna? Delly Cartwright? ...Effie?), have children, and have dinner parties with Katniss, Peeta and their children.

So, the book wasn't really resolved.
All those houses going to waste, just going to perish into ruins.
I'm sure Gale and Katniss are still bffs and will skip into the forest every day, cuddling in the strawberry patch. WHY CAN'T THIS HAPPEN? WHYYY.

The radio commentators described this as: "Swanny flying gracefully... like a swan."

Anyway, Collingwood thrashed Richmond's pants off last night. :P
Swanny and Daisy = awesome. They both kicked a few goals, took a fabulous mark and interviewed by Tim Watson at the end of the game.
(But they didn't end the interview with "Okay, mate" in Mark Thompson-esque style. I was slightly disappointed. Haha.)

And little Puckasaurus kicked one goal (his tally is now 11) but he isn't the leading goalkicker anymore. :(
He did have several chances to kick more goals but due to some unselfishness, he handballed it off to someone else. GOAL ASSISTS WILL NOT WIN YOU THE COLEMAN MEDAL, JARRYD BLAIR! Get that into your little head.

Anyhoo, the little guy turned 21 a few days ago. He celebrated by going out to dinner with a few friends, but I WASN'T INVITED. Whut.
Ugh.

In other news, JHutch continues to be cast as Peeta. Blahhh. I hoped that this would some late April Fools joke, that Josh Hutcherson wasn't really in the movie, that they had actually chosen Chord Overstreet but couldn't tell anyone now because that would be spoiling the end of the McKinley High Prom where Blaine and Sam fight to the death, both wanting to get it on in the backseat of the limo with Kurt, and because Darren Criss is some kind of LIFE RUINER, he pushes Sam off a cliff. Sad, sad ending. BUT NOW, CHORD OVERSTREET IS FREEEEEEE! Free to play the baker's son, the boy with the bread, the gorgeous Peeta. Yay.

HUNGER GAMES, GLEE AND FOOTY.

Yeah, yeah, the similarities are endless. The top picture is Winnie the Pooh and the bottom one is Brittany (from Glee). Or is it the other way round? Hmm...

Anyway, the new episodes of Glee don't start till April 19th. Great. :(
Whatever.

Collingwood thrashed North Melbourne's pants off last weekend. Yeah.
Swanny was the captain on my Dream Team, and Pendles is the captain on my Supercoach. And they BOTH went super duper and made about 150. So it got doubled to 300-something. :D

And guess what?
My Dream Team is THIRD in my league. I'm in the Top 3!! WINNING.
(My Supercoach is coming 2nd last, but let's ignore that.)

La la la.
THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FOUR DAYS TILL HUNGER GAMES MOVIE COMES OUT.
...And they still haven't chosen a Peeta, yet.

Apparently the front runner is Josh Hutcherson.

The kid in Zathura who was mean to his little brother and wouldn't play with him and thought he was so superior? FOR PEETA'S SAKE, NO.

(Yes, I know the kid has grown up since then and I should really find a more recent photo, but I don't care.)

Personally, I would love Chord Overstreet (who plays Sammy Evans on Glee) but I highly doubt that would happen, due to his Glee commitments and filming of Season 3 later this year. :(

So, I settle with Hunter Parrish.

SPOILER ALERT: THE BIRD DIES.

Yeah, that's right, I spoiled Glee for all you Australian fans. Haha.

I won't say who won at Regionals, but Blaine did a really good performance of Raise Your Glass and it was amazing and yeah. Not that I watched the episode, okay, I saw a promo on Channel 10. :P

And Santana sings this kick-ass song called Trouty Mouth, which she wrote for her boyfriend, Sam.
I know it's really cruel to tease Sam and his big mouth, but it's funny. Whatever. I'm a heartless person, but my Sammy Evans still loves me, right? RIGHT?!

Anyway, HUNGER GAMES.
They've chosen a Katniss for the movie. Some blonde actor named Jennifer Lawrence. Anyone know her? Good, 'cause I don't. :/

Suzanne Collins probably based her character on Chord Overstreet/Sam Evans. She's probably a massive Gleek and spends Saturday nights at home, having Glee marathons and stroking her cat.

And you may think I'm totally making this up, but I can relate some of the characters in Hunger Games to some characters on Glee. Not even joking. And no, I do not have too much time on my hands.

• Katniss = Rachel. They can both sing REALLY WELL, have brown hair, both are strong independent girls, etc etc.
• Peeta = Sam. Blonde hair, not afraid to be seen as dorky, both are in love with a girl and would do anything for her to love them back (I know Fabrevans is over, but just sit back down and stop interrupting), likes painting (colour me mine!), etc.
• Effie Trinkett = April Rhodes. One of Effie's main quotes is "May the odds be ever in your favour!" And in the song that April sung on Glee, it pretty much has that line. And they are both bubbly, happy people, and I'm sure Kristin Chenoweth wouldn't mind wearing a pink wig. :P
• Gale = Puck. Hard to explain, but yes, Gale is a badass mofo who f*cks every girl he meets. Okay, fine, this isn't true. But Gale has kissed a lot of girls, and he did/does love Katniss. But she doesn't/didn't love him back in the same way, even though they were both from "the Seam". And Puck wanted to get with Rachel in the Mash-Up episode, but Rachel wasn't keen, even though they were both Jews.
• Cinna = Kurt. Both love fashion and makeovers, and I have a hunch that Cinna is gay. Just a hunch, though.
  
• President Snow = Sue. EVIL, SO EVILLLL. But kind of cool too.
  
• Haymitch = Will Schuester. President Snow killed all Haymitch's loved ones (including the girl he loved) and now he's alone. He now spends his Saturday nights wasted. YES, I JUST RELATED HAYMITCH TO WILL, WHAT OF IT?
  
• Foxface = Quinn. Sneaky, sneaky, and very smart. Ha. :P
• Finnick = Jesse St James. "You're my girlfriend and I want to know all your secrets" = "Have a sugar cubes and tell me all your secrets". They are twins, okay! Sexy and stunning twins. Blahhh.
• Octavia, Venia, Flavius = Santana and Brittany. All of them care about their looks, and like to gossip and talk.
